Privacy policy

What Axion collects, how it is used, and the choices you have over your information and footage.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes information handled by Axion’s website, desktop app, clip hosting, and community tools. It also applies to information about people who appear in uploaded footage. Communities and connected platforms may handle information under their own policies. The terms of service explain the rules for using Axion.

2. Information Axion handles

  • Account information. Roblox or Discord account identifiers, usernames, display names, profile images, and any profile details made available through the sign-in permissions you grant. Axion does not receive your Roblox or Discord password.
  • Recordings and uploads. Clips, thumbnails, titles, tags, notes, and recording metadata. A recording may contain other players’ names, messages, voices, or other information visible or audible during capture.
  • Device and connection information. Paired device labels, operating platform, app version, connection times, capture status, and capture health information. Network addresses are processed to handle requests and protect the service from abuse.
  • Community information. Membership, roles, permissions, integration settings, in-game events, clip requests, moderation notes, and audit records. Connected integrations can provide player identities, presence, group roles, and moderation information.
  • Plan information. Selected plans and checkout records used to manage community entitlements.

3. Local capture and uploaded footage

The desktop app records into a local rolling buffer. Local recording and saving a clip do not, by themselves, mean the entire buffer is uploaded. Uploads depend on the features and settings you use. A connected community can trigger automatic clips from game events, and authorized staff can request clips from the available buffer for review.

Capture can include system audio, microphone audio, or the full screen when those options are enabled. Review your recording settings before capturing sensitive information. Copies saved or downloaded to your device are separate from hosted clips and remain under your control.

4. How information is used

Axion uses this information to sign you in, link accounts and devices, save and deliver clips, manage community access, match game events to connected players, operate integrations, manage plan limits, and support moderation workflows. It also uses connection and audit information to maintain security, investigate problems, and prevent misuse.

5. Who can access information

Footage filed to a community is available to people whose community permissions allow access. Community staff can also see the identity, presence, and device status information needed for their roles. Axion administrators can access information through administration tools to operate and support the service.

A public share link allows anyone holding that link to view the shared footage. Viewers may download or redistribute it. Disabling sharing prevents further access through that link, but does not erase copies already saved elsewhere.

Connected platforms receive the information needed for the integrations you use and apply their own privacy policies. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect the service and its users.

6. Storage and retention

Hosted clips have retention limits based on their plan and where they are filed. Expired footage is removed by the service’s cleanup process. Moving a clip to another community can change its retention window. Check your library and community plan settings, and download footage you need to keep.

Clip expiration does not automatically remove account, membership, device, checkout, or audit records. Those records support ongoing account access, community administration, security, and service operation. Deleting a hosted clip does not delete local downloads or copies held by other people.

7. Browser storage and connected services

Axion uses browser local storage to keep your sign-in session and session storage to return you to the page you were using after authentication. Signing out removes the active session token from that browser. You can clear site storage through your browser settings, but doing so can sign you out or reset preferences. Roblox, Discord, and other external services may use their own cookies or storage when you visit or connect to them.

8. Your choices and requests

You can change capture and audio options in the desktop app, manage your profile and paired devices in account settings, and delete clips or disable their share links where you have permission. Community owners and staff manage community footage according to their assigned permissions.

For footage held by a community, contact its administrators. For account-level access, correction, or deletion requests, or concerns about information relating to a child, email the Axion team at [email protected]. Include the relevant account identifier or clip link so the information can be located; do not send passwords or access tokens. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Axion’s features or information handling change. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be brought to your attention through the service where required.
